The fourth Festival of Sport held in the Kardinia Park Precinct on Sunday has again proven to be a big success with Geelong and the broader community.
The gloomy weather didn’t deter over 3000 people from coming along to try their hand at sports and activities ranging from the traditional to the emerging.
With over 30 activators coming along to share their passion for sport, there was something for everyone.
Many sports were accessible and inclusive for all, with 75% of people trying activities for the first time, feeling safe, included, and welcomed.
Working with our key activator Disability Sport and Recreation, the Festival enhanced the offerings available at previous Festivals.
Of the people attending 75% expressed interest in signing up, exploring or re-engaging with a sport experienced on the day.
