THE FESTIVAL OF SPORT RETURNS IN 2026 TO KARDINIA PARK

Start your Labour Day long weekend down at Kardinia Park.
Get batting, kicking, rolling, stretching, jumping, skipping, bowling…and everything in between at the Festival of Sport 2026.

The twilight festival will feature activities inside GMHBA Stadium, in the Barwon Regional Cricket Centre, in the Joel Selwood Stand and outside in Djilang Plaza.

To celebrate the Soaring Eagles, Roaring Thunder: Geelong’s BMX Story exhibition and the wonderful world of sport, we are thrilled to be giving away a BMX bike and helmet to one lucky festival goer.

Enter the competition during the Festival of Sport at Kardinia Park, Friday 6th March between 5pm – 7.15pm.  The lucky winner will be drawn on the stage at 7.30pm.

The Festival of Sport is a FREE community event celebrating the vibrant diversity of sport in our region and active participation.  People of all ages and abilities are invited to ‘come and try’ over 30 sporting activities.  Which one will be your favourite?

Geelong Sports Museum will be open free of charge during the Festival of Sport.

Sensory Zone pop up and sensory bags will be located on Level 1, Joel Selwood Stand.

During the event a dedicated Inclusion Officer is available to help patrons navigate the stadium and provide assistance. Don’t hesitate to contact the Inclusion Officer directly throughout the event on 0439 305 980 for any people with additional needs.
