The Barwon Sports Academy Inc. provides pathways for aspiring athletes to reach higher goals at state and national levels through development programs, sharing information, ideas and experiences. The BSA is a nonprofit organisation which depends significantly on the support of its partners to ensure it can provide ongoing support to promising athletes in the Barwon Regions.
Football Victoria commenced operation in 1884 under the name Anglo Australian Football Association of Victoria and is one of the oldest sporting associations in Victoria. The staff at Sports House are dedicated to the
development of the game by increasing participation and building the capacity of clubs and associations.
Basketball Victoria is a member driven, governing body providing a range of services for 160 affiliated associations state-wide. In addition to association support, Basketball Victoria coordinates a number of participation and development programs for players, coaches and officials as well as managing representative leagues VJBL, NBL1, Big V and CBL. The Western Region – Basketball Development Officer services 31 associations from Kardinia Park Sports House.
Locally, participation rates for basketball are high across age, gender and ability with Geelong United Basketball (a partnership between Corio Bay Basketball and Basketball Geelong) being the largest regional association in Victoria, in addition to well supported associations at Bellarine Peninsula (Drysdale, Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove) and Surf Coast. One of 10 State High-Performance Hubs is also located in Geelong.
The Combat Institute of Australia
The Combat Institute of Australia (CombatAUS) is a bespoke, sport owned high performance organisation to oversee, invest and support the daily performance environment and competition engagement of Australia’s best combat sport athletes. CombatAUS currently manage the delivery of the elite national high performance programs for Boxing, Judo, Taekwondo, and Fencing with this innovative and collaborative approach delivering enhanced high performance outcomes for all four sports by ensuring a dedicated high performance focus, significantly increased and more secure funding and access to a greater range of performance support services.

A Sports House Membership provides individuals working for an association, club, community-based business or government body in the sport and recreation industry with access to hot desks (casual use), short and mid-term desks, meeting facilities and break out spaces.
