The Victorian State Government has committed $142m to enable the 5th stage of the GMHBA Stadium redevelopment at Kardinia Park.
The project will secure the venue’s status as Australia’s best regional stadium and complete the ground’s transformation.
The project includes:
A new grandstand at the northern end of the stadium, increasing the overall capacity to over 40,000,
A new indoor cricket hub to be located between the stadium and the railway line,
A new entry plaza to be established adjacent to Moorabool Street and the north of the stadium, and
New professional and community sport changerooms and facilities
As part of the planning scheme amendment for the project, the Kardinia Park Stadium Trust is providing our community with the opportunity to comment on the merits of the proposed amendment and Stage 5 development.
Below are a range of documents available for review and comment:
All feedback received will be collated and analysed as part of a consultation report to be made available to the City of Greater Geelong and DELWP. In light of the comments, the Trust may decide to revise its plans and documentation
