New Trustee Appointed to Kardinia Park

The Minister for Sport, Tourism and Major events, Minister Martin Pakula has announced the new Trustee to be appointed at Kardinia Park Stadium Trust.  The Minister has appointed Clare Amies to take the position as the newest Trustee to join the Stadium Trust, replacing Libby Mears.  Libby moved on from the Trust in late October to become the Chair of Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA).

Clare’s extensive experience and expertise includes previous roles within Government as the Chief Executive of WorkSafe Victoria, Executive Director at TAC and as the CEO of Western Regional Health Centre. Clare is the current CEO of genU, the innovative organisation that came from the joining of Karingal and St Laurence Community Services.  genU is one of Australia’s leading community organisations providing support and services to thousands of people in the areas of disability, aged care and employment.

Kardinia Park Stadium Chair, Stephen Gough welcomed the appointment. “We congratulate Clare and look forward to her joining the Trust.  Clare’s exceptional skillset will contribute positively to the outcomes for the Kardinia Park Stadium Trust.”

The Kardinia Park Stadium Trust administers, promotes and manages GMHBA Stadium and attached land with an overarching objective of contributing to the economy, community and liveability of the Geelong region and the state. Other members of the Trust are Chair – Stephen Gough AM, Gillian Costa, Rob Hulls, Dan Simmonds, Joe Calafiore and Bernadette Uzelac.
