Melbourne Victory vs Central Coast Mariners

It is a Coastal clash as Melbourne Victory hosts Central Coast Mariners at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday 6 of January.

It is the fourth time Melbourne Victory has brought A-League action to Geelong and will be looking to gain the upper hand over their rivals from NSW, following a 1-all draw back in October.

“Geelong has got what it takes to put on a show, and there’s no bigger A-League club than Melbourne Victory,” Minister for Tourism and Major Events the Hon John Eren MP said.

“Blockbusters like these mean serious business for the region, and we hope our boys in blue can collect all three points this time round in Geelong.”

Victory defeated the Newcastle Jets 4-2 in front of more than 14,000 fans in last season’s match.

Member for Geelong Christine Couzens said A-League fixtures in Geelong helped strengthen the local economy and brought in extra tourists to the region. “Football fans in Geelong love the Victory, and we can’t wait to welcome thousands of visitors here again come January,” she said.

The match will kick off at 6pm on Saturday, January 6.
