Come down to GMHBA Stadium this Saturday for an exciting double header between Geelong Cats & North Melbourne Roos. The VFL will kick off at 10:00am, followed by the AFL match at 1:45pm.

Gates Open:

  • Gate 1, 5 & 13 will open at 9:30am for the VFL match
  • All remaining gates will open at 11:45am for the AFL match

Traffic Changes:
To assist with public safety and access to the ground, Moorabool Street (from Fyans Street to Kilgour Street) will be closed to all traffic 1.5 hours pre-AFL game.

A single lane along Moorabool Street will be open to allow traffic to run north to south 15 minutes after the start of the first quarter and will remain in place until the start of the last quarter.
The full road closure will then resume at approximately 4:05pm and will remain for up to 1.5 hours post-AFL game to allow patrons to exit the Stadium safely.

The temporary changed traffic conditions apply to the following locations:

  • Moorabool Street between Kilgour Street and Fyans Street
  • Access to: StrongLonsdaleVernerFoster and Balliang Streets will be available via Yarra Street, during the temporary road closure. Please expect delays.
  • Access to Hopkins Street and Park Crescent for residence will be available via Fyans St.

Access for Emergency Services will be maintained at all times.

Changed traffic conditions inside the Kardinia Park Precinct will take effect pre-game. The internal road between A2 drop-off zone and A3 (Premiership Stand) car park will be closed to all traffic.

Car Parking
Limited paid car parking is available for the public to park in Kardinia Park precinct.
Car parking fees:

  • $10 GFC members
  • $15 public

The car parking within the precinct will be open:

  • 8:45am

Please note, some car parks are closed in inclement weather.

This car parking can be accessed from:

  • Entrance A: via Kilgour Street
  • Entrance C: via Park Crescent
  • Entrance E: via The City end of Moorabool Street (accessible parking only)

All corporate guests parking in A3 will be required to enter via Entrance B – Latrobe Terrace.

There is also available car parking in the surrounding streets.
The drop off area is located at carpark A2 via Kilgour Street.

Supporter Buses
Supporter busses will enter off Latrobe Terrace into Park crescent and park in front of the marked bus bay outside Kardinia Pool. This is where passengers are to hop on and off the bus. These buses will stay here for the duration of the match. Please pay attention to signage.

Changes to Trains
Due to V/Line track, signal and station improvement works, trains between Wyndham Vale and Waurn Ponds will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey. Trains will continue to run as scheduled between Southern Cross Station and Wyndham Vale.

Customers can also travel on coaches for the entire journey between the Southern Cross Station coach terminal and Waurn Ponds.

Additional coaches will be available for this match to assist with getting customers to and from the game, however, customers are advised to allow additional travel time as traffic conditions can vary.

Before the match, fans can catch the 10:30 or 11:10 coaches from the Southern Cross Station coach terminal to South Geelong.

After the match, fans can catch the 16:30, 16:45, 16:46 or the 16:59 coaches from South Geelong to the Southern Cross Station coach terminal.
