Spotlight on Golf: a collaboration between Geelong Sports Museum and Golf Australia

The Geelong Sports Museum is excited to partner with Golf Australia for its first temporary exhibition since the museum opened last year.

The Spotlight on Golf exhibition celebrates the Vic Open as well as the role golf plays in the Geelong community. The timing of the opening of this exhibition is perfect with the Vic Open teeing off at 13th Beach Golf Links in Barwon Heads this week.

The Museum is thrilled to be working with Golf Australia to show what’s possible in the museum and play a role in inspiring future generations to take up the great game of golf.
The unique exhibition space allows the Geelong Sports Museum to partner with sporting bodies to showcase the incredible local stories of sporting history and success and share how their sport has helped shaped the sporting landscape in the Geelong region.

Located at Kardinia Park, the Geelong Sports Museum is a place to gather, learn and celebrate the role of sport in the community.

With over 30 sports represented and more than 70 objects on display, there is something for everyone, whether a sports fan or not.

Spotlight on Golf will run until August 2025. The museum is open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10am until 4:30pm. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket desk. For all information including tickets and planning your visit, go to www.geelongsportsmuseum.com.au
