Less than two weeks out from GMHBA Stadium hosting Geelong’s first Big Bash Game for points, the Renegades have made Geelong its official ‘home away from home’.
4,000 cricket fans flocked to the Geelong Cricket Oval at Kardinia Park for the Renegades Family Day which included an exhibition match that featured stand out performances from hometown heroes Aaron Finch and Tim Ludeman. The club has also been getting around to schools in the Geelong region, winning a whole host of new fans.
The highly anticipated January 3 clash against the Sydney Sixes is selling fast and is sure to be a Summer highlight for the Geelong community. The match will have a unique “Kids Day Out” theme hosted by Nickelodeon, with activities and character appearances throughout the day.
The showpiece clash at GMHBA Stadium, delivered in partnership with the Victorian Government, Kardinia Park Stadium Trust and the City of Greater Geelong are part of the club and league’s expansion plan to bring more cricket to more Victorians.
