The Melbourne Renegades will make a return to GMHBA Stadium this summer for two blockbuster matches. Once again led by local champion Aaron Finch the ‘Gades’ will take on the Brisbane Heat and current BBL champions the Sydney Sixers.
Renegades General Manager James Rosengarten said the growing support in Geelong convinced the team to return to the region.
“We’re really excited about the potential in this season – hopefully playing in front of big crowds.
“Geelong is central to our ongoing planning – our data tells us Geelong is a strong network of Renegades support and we want to make the most of that.
“We think having two games in January just after New Year is a great fit for us in attracting cricket fans and holiday-makers alike.”
