John Eren has been appointed to the Kardinia Park Stadium Trust.
Kardinia Park Stadium Trust Chair, Joe Calafiore, welcomed the appointment. “We congratulate John and look forward to him joining the Trust. John’s experience from over 20 years in Government as the former Minister for Sport will be very valuable for us.”
Mr Eren was a Member of the Victorian Parliament representing the Geelong Province between 2002 and 2022. He was a member of the Legislative Council from 2002 to 2006, then the Legislative Assembly from 2006 to 2022.
Mr Eren held numerous roles on Committees, as a Parliamentary Secretary, then between 2014 and 2018 he was the Minister for Sport, Minister for Tourism and Major Events, and Minister for Veterans’ Affairs.
The Kardinia Park Stadium Trust administers, promotes and manages GMHBA Stadium and attached land including the Barwon Regional Cricket Centre and the Geelong Sports Museum. The Trust has an overarching objective of contributing to the economy, community and liveability of the Geelong region and the state.
The Kardinia Park Stadium Trust looks forward to welcoming Mr Eren to the Trust, who will join other members of the Trust including Joe Calafiore (Chair), Gillian Costa, Bernadette Uzelac AM, Clare Amies and Tony Ficca.
