The Kardinia Park Stadium Trust (Trust) has announced that Mr Joe Calafiore has stepped down from his position as Chair of the Trust, concluding almost seven years serving as both a member and Chair.
Mr Calafiore joined the Trust in 2018 and was later appointed Chair in 2023. During his tenure, he served as both a member and later Chair of the Trust’s Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and was critical to the embedding of many financial and business procedures into the newly created Trust. He also oversaw the completion of Stage 5 of the Kardinia Park Stadium Redevelopment, and the stadium increase its community usage, as well as national and international sport and entertainment content played at the stadium.
The Trust extends its thanks to Mr Calafiore for his service and wishes him continued success in the future.
Current Trustee Bernadette Uzelac has been confirmed as the Interim Chair of the Kardinia Park Stadium Trust.
The Kardinia Park Stadium Trust administers, promotes and manages GMHBA Stadium and attached land including the Barwon Regional Cricket Centre and the Geelong Sports Museum. The Trust has an overarching objective of contributing to the economy, community and liveability of the Geelong region and the state.
