After a landmark year of hosting major events such as the Foo Fighters and the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup, GMHBA Stadium has been awarded Australia’s Best Regional Stadium in the annual AusStadiums, Stadium of the year awards.
The 2022 Stadium Awards are a fan-voted competition presented by the AusStadiums website to determine the best stadiums in Australia across seven different categories.
Kardinia Park Stadium Trust CEO, Gerard Griffin was thrilled with the result.
“It’s a real feather in the cap of all the hard work of the people here to get this award, and it’s vindication of what we’re aiming to be, which is exactly that – Australia’s best regional stadium.”
