Kardinia Park has received a nomination for the Stage 5 redevelopment at the international Design and Development Awards.
The Stage 5 Redevelopment was recognised in the ‘Destination Award’ Category. This award recognises the ‘sense of place’ for a sports or entertainment venue. Where have landscaping, access, wayfinding, theming and branding been integrated to create a complete destination within a venue’s locality.
GMHBA Stadium is joined in this category by international ‘heavy hitters’ such as The Sphere in Las Vegas, Adidas Arena in Paris, Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and Marvel Stadium.
The winners will be announced at Decembers Stadium Design Summit, held in Manchester.
