As part of the Fifth and final stage of the GMHBA Stadium redevelopment at Kardinia Park, a 5-lane indoor cricket hub will be constructed at the rear of the stand. The centre will sit alongside Geelong Cricket Club’s outdoor turf training nets and contain indoor changerooms, meeting room and reception area. Due for completion in mid-2023, the centre will be leased to Cricket Victoria by KPST who in turn will look to appoint a suitably qualified operator and centre manager.
The principal function of the centre is to act as a regional hub for the clubs in the Geelong and Bellarine region to utilise across a year. Some limitations will be required when GMHBA Stadium is in use for its largest events such as AFL men’s matches, some AFLW matches, international and domestic cricket as well as special events secured by the State Government such as concerts.
The expression of interest (EOI) calls for parties to demonstrate their interest in formally tendering for the role, their capability as well as any facets of the operation they would classify as needing to exist for the party to be willing to tender.
This Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) is the first stage of a two-stage process to appoint a suitably qualified operator and centre manager for the newly built 5-lane indoor Cricket Hub located in Kardinia Park, Geelong.
In the second stage, Kardinia Park Stadium Trust (the Trust) together with Cricket Victoria, intends to invite tenders from shortlisted Registrants.
