Minster for Tourism, Sport and Major Events, the Hon. Martin Pakula has announced that Bernadette Uzelac will become the newest member of the Kardinia Park Stadium Trust as from 22 March 2020.
Ms Uzelac has extensive experience in the Geelong business community in various roles including CEO of Geelong Business Council, Chief Executive of People at work and more recently, Bernadette has been appointed as a member to the Telstra Victorian Regional Advisory Council. Ms Uzelac is the chair of both the Small Business Ministerial Council for the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions and Geelong Tech School Committee.
Kardinia Park Stadium Trust Chair, Michael Malouf AM welcomed the appointment, “We at the Trust are delighted to welcome Bernadette. Bernadette has made significant contributions in the community, university, government and industry sectors. In Geelong and the region, Bernadette’s strong business and community relationships will make her a valued member of the Trust.”
Bernadette Uzelac replaces Rebecca Casson who chose not to renominate for a further term as a Trustee due to competing priorities. Rebecca conveyed her enjoyment at being Trustee member and stated she will remain a keen and supportive friend of Kardinia Park Stadium Trust. Rebecca will carry on with her strong focus as CEO at the Master Builders Association of Victoria.

Effective 22 March 2020, Ms Uzelac will commence her position on the Trust alongside existing Trustees Michael Malouf AM (Chair), Gillian Costa, Dan Simmonds, Joe Calafiore, Elizabeth Mears and Rob Hulls.
“In addition of the appointment of Bernadette Uzelac, I am pleased to share with the community, that my Deputy Chair, Gillian Costa’s position on the Trust has been renewed for a further 3 years. This is a true recognition of the commitment and capability that Gillian has shown as Deputy Chair at Kardinia Park Stadium Trust,” Mr Malouf said.
