Cats to play four AFLW games at GMHBA Stadium in 2020

The AFLW Fixture has landed with the Cats to host four matches at GMHBA Stadium in 2020.

The Cats will play two Sunday afternoon matches, one Friday night match and one Saturday night match in Geelong, giving local fans plenty of opportunities to catch their team at home.

The Cats inaugural season in the AFLW brought a family-friendly carnival feel to GMHBA Stadium in 2019 and the excitement promises to continue as the Cats enter into their second season in the competition.

With fourteen sides in the competition for the first time (Gold Coast, Richmond, St Kilda and West Coast are all new), teams will once again be split into two conferences.

Teams will play every side in its conference once, as well as two “cross-over” matches with sides from the other pool.

After finishing second on the Conference B ladder, the Cats move over to Conference A.

Games against the Brisbane Lions and reigning premiers Adelaide Crows in Round 2 and Round 3 will launch the Cats home season at GMHBA Stadium.

The Cats will take on the Kangaroos before rounding out their season against Collingwood.
